Bankwest launches broker website

Features Home Loan Application Tracker, the Broker Portal, the Broker Pricing Tool, a click-to chat function and access to all necessary documentation

Bankwest has today unveiled a ‘one-stop-shop’ for brokers with the launch of its new broker website.

Bankwest General Manager, Third Party Business, Ian Rakhit, said the new website is the result of an ongoing process of testing new ideas directly with brokers to better meet their needs.

“We’re evolving and improving our digital offering to our brokers by embracing emerging technologies that are increasingly influencing how brokers want to interact with us,”

“Over the last 12 months Bankwest has transformed the services and tools we offer brokers and now, with the launch of the website, we’ve put them all, and much more, in one place.

“From now on brokers will be able to find everything they need in one easy to use location which will be regularly updated to meet brokers’ changing needs,” he added.

“We’re adopting new ways of working at Bankwest that empower our people to take a much more iterative approach to providing new tools and services to brokers.”

“Rather than bring out one, all-encompassing new platform after two years of behind the scenes development, we’ve been bringing out new developments every few months, testing them directly with brokers and learning what works well and what we can improve, and this is something we plan to continue.”

“We were one of the first financial institutions to enter the broker market many decades ago and brokers across the country have remained central to our business since then,” explained Ian.

“We value our brokers and everything we have brought out has been delivered as a result of a great deal of interaction with them. We ask them what they want, what they like, what they don’t like, so we’re sure that the products we develop fit their needs exactly.”

In 2015 Bankwest spent over three months researching how brokers felt about its services and products to ensure their needs were understood. The insights gained from this research and from ongoing conversations with brokers continue to shape Bankwest’s broker offering today.

The new website, which is now available to all Bankwest brokers, features the Home Loan Application Tracker, the Broker Portal, the Broker Pricing Tool, a click-to chat function and access to all necessary documentation to assist in securing appropriate home loans for clients

Bankwest General Manager Customer Transformation Jarod Avila said the new website reflects the importance Bankwest places on its relationship with its broker partners.

“This new website wraps up an amazing year of progress for our broker offerings but is by no means the end of the journey. But we know that by putting the right information at brokers’ fingertips in a simple way, we’re making it easier for them to best serve their customers.”
