Smart Containers Group, a Swiss high-tech container provider has started addressing its logistics predicaments by merging its hardware technology and IoT sensors to build the safest temperature-controlled containers, reported Cryptovest. The containers will secure the global transportation of sensitive pharmaceuticals and food.
To attain an end-to-end logistics ecosystem–LOGI CHAIN, the company is currently working on its software-side of the logistics process after successfully integrating its hardware division of logistics.
The employment of blockchain technology will assist in paperless shipment and will help the company to offer a comprehensive autonomous smart container solution. Smart containers Group are working to automate container billing along with the entire supply chain by transacting in cryptocurrencies in order to enhance its payment security.
Richard Ettl, co-founder and CEO of SkyCell, one of the divisions of the company that handles pharma containers supplies, said: “By using blockchain technology, we can decentralize logistics and create autonomous containers–container 4.0. This container will know who’s renting it, when the contract ends and when to invoice the customer. That’s why we’ve created the LOGI CHAIN platform. It allows us to create a seamless, fully integrated, digital logistics process that everyone can use for free.”
