It is a gesture to acknowledge the employees' consistent support and contributions to the company.

A Chennai-based IT company has recently gifted Maruti Suzuki cars to 100 of its employees. Day after that an IT firm from Chennai, Kissflow Inc gifted five BMW 6 Series cars worth Rs 1 crore each to members of senior management.

The gift was a gesture to acknowledge the employees’ consistent support and contributions to the company.

This is not the first time that Ideas2IT has given such a costly gift to its employees. It has shared gold coins and iPhones with its employees as perks in the past too.

Commenting on the practice, Hari Subramanium, the Marketing Head of Ideas2IT said, “We are gifting 100 cars to 100 of our employees who have been a part of us for more than 10 years. We have a strength of 500 people. Our concept is to return the wealth we have received to the employees.”

The founder chairman of the company, Murali Vivekanandan said that the employees have made a lot of efforts for improving the company and that they have earned for their hard work.

It is quite evident that with all this kindness the morale of the employees gets boosted. This is not the first time a company has showered its employees with gifts. Back in 2016, Savji Dholakia, a billionaire diamond merchant was in the news after 400 flats and 1,260 cars were given out as gifts to the employees for hard work.

To celebrate its golden jubilee, his diamond company spent Rs 51 crores on Diwali bonuses. Around 1,700 people were acknowledged as the company’s best performers.

In 2018 again, Dholakia distributed 600 cars to his company staff at Hare Krishna Exports.
