The theme of the congress is ‘Transforming Finance In a Digital Age.’ It is being held under the umbrella of the Milan-based International Association of Financial Executive Institutes.
Nguyen Ngoc Bach, Chairman of CFO Vietnam, stated: “The Congress programme is meant to be a balance between policy considerations driving or hindering Global and Asian growth and the transformative potential of digital technologies in responding to the opportunities and challenges they present.”
CFO is co-hosting the event with the Japan Association of Chief Financial Officers.
“From cybersecurity, blockchain technology, and analytics to artificial intelligence, included in the programme are topics that are becoming more and more top of mind for all business professionals.”
The organisers say the conference is also open to independent financial professionals who are not members. 500 business leaders, chief financial officers, finance directors and finance executives are expected to congregate at the forum, which will kick off on November 12 at Lotte Legend Hotel Saigon.
“It will be an opportune time for all delegates from IAFEI member institutes all over the world to renew ties and network among themselves on topics of common interest making it IAFEI truly the global premiere society of financial executives,” stated IAFEI Chairman Fausto Cosi.
“Looking at the contemporary economic themes, we must mention a moment of uncertainty being felt globally, caused by the effect of political problems on manufacturing activities, international trade and currency valuations.” He said.
The IAFEI was founded in Switzerland in 1969 and now has member associations in various countries across the globe.
Vietnam will host an international forum of financial executives were more then 500 delegates will debate how new technologies and policies are transforming finance, said its organizers.
