According to the company press release, ITS Logistics announced that Jamie Lawson has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. In 2014, Lawson began her stint at the company as controller before being promoted to Director of Finance.
“Jamie has been instrumental over the past 4 years helping build and develop a first-class accounting department,” says Dan Allen, former CFO and company co-founder. “Under her leadership, we have seen the development of great talent, improved service to our internal and external customers, and the utilization of some great new technology. Jamie has clearly demonstrated her ability to lead ITS in the top finance role.”
Speaking of Lawson’s educational profile, she started in the accounting field after completing her Accounting and Finance degree at Oklahoma Baptist University. Prior to her role in ITS Logistics, she has worked for Certified Public Accountants firms in Oklahoma, California and Nevada. Her first CPA licence was obtained in California, and then in Nevada.
“I feel very fortunate to take over as CFO of such a great company like ITS Logistics,” says Lawson. “ITS has really been like a family to me with such an amazing culture. I’m excited to be a part of the astonishing growth we have experienced in the last several years, and look forward to supporting our continued success. It is also a privileged responsibility to be the first female executive with ITS. We are excited about our initiative to continue developing and promoting competent female leaders in a culture where diversity and inclusion of women is warranted and benefits companies worldwide.”
“I am very proud of Jamie for her work in our finance department,” says CEO Greg Sanders.” She has really proven that hard work pays off, and is a shining example of the opportunity for career growth at ITS. I look forward to seeing what she and her team can do in the future.”
