Saudi Arabia-based logistics firm Wasel Lee recently announced its series A funding of US$133,000.

The firm was founded in 2017, and comes with advanced features to facilitate quick customer service and delivery of food, daily supplies and other essentials.

Badir Program for Technology Incubators and Accelerators has undertaken the platform as one of its incubator projects. The funding will be used to innovate new products and features. Additionally, it will contribute towards the development of the technology and the expansion of the team in the Southern Saudi Arabia region of Jizan.

According to Business Intelligence Middle East, Founder and Partner of the Wassel Lee, Imad Murad, said: “The platform offers a wide range of services and products to individuals and companies through a mobile phone application. It has a wide and growing network of partners in the fields of food provisions, finance, real estate medical supplies and bookings.

“The growth of the platform over the past year has backed our intention to start new investment rounds and provide a larger capital to expand these services and open up new markets in order to make this platform accessible to a larger segment of customers.”
