Orange Group cybersecurity unit appoints new MD

Clive Hamilton has 30 years global ICT experience in network, cloud, datacentre and security

Orange Cyberdefense, the cybersecurity unit of Orange Group has announced the appointment of Clive Hamilton as its new managing director (MD), media reports said.

Clive Hamilton will join Orange after spending more than 13 years at NTT Europe, where has also served as its managing director. He has 30 years of global ICT experience in network, cloud, datacentre, security and voice services.

Clive Hamilton told the media, “Covid-19 has cemented the market direction towards a services led approach to cybersecurity. With an increasingly dispersed workforce and global economy, customers are demanding to work with a cyber-security partner that can build a solution to meet their business models that are increasingly reliant on digitisation.”

“With a blended approach of people, process and technology, coupled with the growth of the UK team plus the backing of a multinational organization, Orange Cyberdefense has the skills, experience and focus to work in partnership with customers to drive their commercial success in a scalable and secure way by placing cybersecurity at the heart of their digital transformation initiatives.”

The company has also filled other top positions along with the appointment of Clive. Orange Cyberdefense appointed Mohammed Lateef as UK Finance Director. Mohammed has extensive experience in financial management roles. Previously, he served as the Head of Finance and Operations for Xenith, and prior to that, Group Financial Controller of Six Degrees Group.

Orange appointed Stuart Reed, as its new UK Product and Marketing Director. Stuart has broad experience in the cybersecurity and technology industry. He has previously worked with the likes of giants such as Sony and NTT Security.
