The project spans over 12,000 square meters and it is estimated that the plant will be offsetting nearly 2,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions

Leading solar energy provider SirajPower recently signed an agreement for a solar leasing partnership with Ajmal Perfumes, which is also one of the largest manufacturers of perfume in the Middle East and the world. The project is for a 1.5MW solar plant that will help power their manufacturing facilities at the Dubai International City and Al Quoz Industrial Area 3 in Dubai.

By signing this long-term partnership agreement, SirajPower will be in charge of building, designing, financing, operating, and maintaining the solar power plant which is expected to produce 2.7GWh of solar energy annually. This project will also cover a massive area of 12,000 square meters and will be offsetting nearly 2,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

Laurent Longuet, CEO at SirajPower told the media, “Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is one of the largest industries worldwide and a sector where sustainability is an essential pillar of the business. There’s a growing environmental sustainability movement in the UAE market calling companies to provide eco-friendly products and solutions to meet consumers’ needs and expectations. These businesses have a commitment to halve their environmental impact, and that’s not only about sustainable packages.”

Additionally, the awareness regarding climate change and sustainability issues has been gaining momentum from the government leaders to reduce carbon emissions as much as possible, and the situation is improving in the UAE and surrounding areas.
