Three is owned by a HongKong-based multinational conglomerate CK Hutchison Whampoa, according to media reports. Three will start its 5G network with a London-based broadband service. The locations of the first batch are Birmingham, Bolton, Bradford, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Middlesbrough, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Reading, Rotherham, Sheffield, Slough, Sunderland and Wolverhampton.

Three also said that it would announce the details about the specific handsets which will be a part of its mobile launch next month. The company’s £2 billion 5G infrastructure investment includes improvements in network across the major UK cities and a cloud core network provided by Nokia.
