A strong and consistent visual branding strategy can help your company stand out in a crowded market. Visually appealing content promotes long-term client loyalty and trust.

Remember, brand identity is essential for your business’ prosperity, as it encompasses all the ways customers experience and perceive a business from visual elements like logos to customer service interactions and marketing messages. Some iconic branding examples include Apple’s minimalist aesthetic or NIKE’s “Just Do It” motto. Whether a company is a startup or an established firm, understanding how to build and maintain an effective brand identity aligned with a broader business strategy can make the difference between thriving and merely surviving in today’s competitive landscape.

With the help of technological tools, businesses of all sizes can establish, manage, and streamline their brand identities while ensuring consistency across multiple platforms.

We will discuss useful tools and technology-driven branding strategies that your company can employ to develop a unified, effective, and resonant visual marketing plan.

Design Platforms

These days, multinational companies can rely on centralised systems to keep their ads and social media accounts consistent.

Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Figma are examples of centralised design platforms that allow companies to store and distribute key components like templates, fonts, and logos among team members.

Employees can access the same resources thanks to colour-locking features, which also prevent variations from signature colour palettes, ensuring consistency and recognition.

With the help of digital asset management (DAM) platforms like Bynder and Frontify, companies can easily arrange, store, and distribute their brand assets.

To ensure cultural differences are considered without changing the brand’s identity, DAM systems can be used to provide local teams with region-specific branding materials.

For smaller businesses, design platforms make the process of visual branding easier. To ensure all materials align with its core message, a neighbourhood coffee shop, for example, can create editable templates for flyers, social media posts, and menus.

Augmented Reality And Virtual Reality

Customers’ interactions with brands are being redefined by augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).

IKEA Place and other AR-powered tools let customers see furniture in their homes, establishing crucial connections between the brand and its customers.

By creating a more relatable campaign, the immersive user experience facilitates loyalty and trust. VR can be used in campaigns that tell stories that evoke strong emotions.

Using AI To Create Brand Identity

Imagine launching a new business with a tool that assesses the message and goal of your campaign, identifies your target market, and uses colour psychology to create a colour scheme that appeals to a particular demographic and elicits specific feelings.

Technology is already being used by marketers to gather data on industry trends so their content remains interesting and relevant. Predictive AI will soon enable visual marketing in similar ways, allowing companies to anticipate client demands and instantly modify branding images.

Important visual components of brand identity, such as logos, typography, and colour schemes, can now be automatically created by small businesses using AI tools like Looka, Tailor Brands, and Adobe Sensei.

Tasks like resising photos or optimising marketing materials for various platforms can be easily automated by businesses with limited budgets and human resources. AI photo editors can enhance a variety of images without sacrificing overall style.

For example, to emphasise transformation, a fitness company may use portraits of its trainers and customers. These images can be enhanced with specialised tools for editing portrait photos, giving them a more polished and brand-consistent appearance.

These tools can do more than just fix minor facial imperfections; they can also improve compositions and balance lighting and tone in images, producing polished yet realistic visuals. Marketers can create eye-catching and superior campaigns without sacrificing credibility and relevance.

How does colour convey brand messages to consumers? How can corporations use colour to influence purchases? Can colours evoke emotions?

The psychology of colour is complex, and many studies have attempted to explain how colour affects consumer choices. Colour opinions depend on an individual’s background, tastes, and upbringing.

Red: Young energy or danger? Is it a passion colour? Pink is a feminine colour in the West, yet in Japan, pink cherry blossoms symbolise dead soldiers. Much relies on context, positioning, and past colour experiences.

Colour perceptions can reveal crucial signalling patterns, yet it’s not as easy as pigeonholing colours to evoke emotions.

Colour Builds Brand Recognition

Colour has made some of the world’s most successful brands instantly recognised. You would assume Coca-Cola trademarked red. The company’s use of red in branding has been so effective that Coca-Cola renamed Santa Claus to wear red!

We favour instantly recognisable brands, and powerful branding activates our brains, according to research. Colour choice is crucial to brand identity at its core.

While there is no “right” colour option for any company identity, consumer responses to colour appropriateness are crucial. Does a brand’s colour scheme match its products? The apparent appropriateness of colour can instantly boost a brand.

There are many resources and theories to help you choose brand colours, but you know your customers best. Only you can pick which colours consumers think fit your brand.

Viewer Response Depends On Vibrancy And Contrast

The tone and intensity of colours can affect how viewers react to your brand. Vibrant hues energise and stimulate. They elicit stronger reactions from spectators. McDonald’s famously uses bright red and yellow to suggest energy, fun, and excitement.

However, softer, darker, and neutral tones soothe viewers. These less vivid colours help viewers process more information, making them perfect for information-heavy products and websites.

High-contrast colours attract consumers. So “SALE” signs generally use the instantly recognisable white writing on a bright red background. High-contrast colours and patterns can motivate consumers. For instance, red calls to action increase website conversions.

Men And Women Like Various Hues

Generally, certain genders prefer certain hues. Understanding gender colour preferences is helpful whether you’re addressing an all-male or all-female audience.

Blue is the most favoured colour for guys. Men like black and green, while women prefer purple, red, and green. The least popular colours for men are brown, yellow, and white, and for women are grey, white, yellow, and brown.

Knowing Colour Trends Is Powerful

Colours can convey numerous messages, yet prominent brands have established colour trends. Knowing these trends might help your brand express a clear message by following colour messaging or stand out by defying them.

Some instantly recognisable Western branding colour trends are:

Blue: symbolises trust and commitment. Think PayPal or online banking.

Black: Hotel Chocolat, Burberry, and Rolls-Royce employ black to convey elegance and quality.

White: White gives brands space, clarity, and simplicity. That may explain why tech companies utilise white so much in their branding. Apple is most famous for this.

Environmentalism commonly uses green because of its natural connections. Companies that aim to show their environmental responsibilities use green branding. United Kingdom-based OVO Energy takes this too far.

Branding is essential because the financial industry plays such a significant role in society. In a time where there is increasing difficulty differentiating between companies, branding has never been more important.

A company can differentiate itself from the competition, establish a solid reputation, and add value by using branding to give their business a distinct personality. Here is how a strong brand will impact your business:

Helps In Getting Recognition

Acquiring recognition is largely dependent on branding. Your brand defines every element, including e-promos, corporate design, photography, and websites. Every interaction offers a chance to strengthen customer loyalty and raise brand awareness.

Builds Trust

Building trust is achieved through branding. Since it offers a company significant competitive and financial advantages, developing a strong brand with devoted customers is vital. Businesses that present themselves well have a far higher chance of doing business with others.

Builds Financial Value

Branding is a valuable asset. Branding increases the monetary value and brings in new business. Brands increase market share growth, drive demand and sales, and increase differentiation from competitors while increasing shareholder value.

Generates Referral Business

A strong brand generates referral business, bringing you new clients. People enjoy recommending companies to others when they have a good experience with them.

Motivate Staff

Strong brands attract talent and motivate staff, giving them something to believe in and to stand behind.

“The foundation of any business is its brand. Establishing your brand’s values is essential. What your clients and future clients think of you is your brand. A brand’s experience is something you would want to have, so it is important to be conscious of it. Customers will choose you over your competitors when you have a strong brand because it highlights and sets apart your goods and services. Strong brands are the result of careful planning, patience, and effort. Being experts in a particular area of the business, we are in a unique position to offer advice on how to help clients stand out,” Ella Yuen, freelance brand manager, said, Best&CO reported.

Blue Mountain Apartments

Blue Mountain Apartments was incorporated in 2014 to cater to a growing need in the Sri Lankan real estate market for affordable and luxurious apartments. Its next project, the Grandsburg in Colombo 7, also sold out in a few hours and the company’s latest mega project in Bambalapitiya is also expected to be sold out. The project is a massive venture with 440 ultra-luxury apartment units, a conference centre and a shopping mall. Designed by architects from Singapore, the project features design elements that will be used in Sri Lanka for the very first time. All Blue Mountain Apartments promise luxury at an affordable price and offer ultimate value for money.

Other companies

Aside from Blue Mountain Properties and Blue Mountain Apartments, other key companies include Blue Mountain Constructions and Blue Mountain Landlords, all of which complement the company’s iconic work in changing the landscape of Sri Lanka forever. Blue Mountain’s sister companies work hand-in-hand to constantly deliver excellence while its dynamic team members strive to passionately satisfy customers.

Technologically advanced

All of Blue Mountain’s core systems and resource planning are linked to ERP applications and the company is considered the most reliable on-time player in the real estate industry in Sri Lanka. Blue Mountain also recently introduced its IT squad, which was developed under the leadership of internationally recognised Pakistani consultants, who facilitated the use of an IFS system valued at Rs. 100 million. The company also took measures to enhance its digital presence by launching a new website, which features an attractive interface and easy-to-navigate features that provide customers with access to Blue Mountain’s wide array of real estate services.

Partnerships

Blue Mountain recently entered into a strategic partnership with the Singapore-based P&T Group in a bid to pioneer landmark real estate projects in the country. The P&T Group is recognised as one of the largest international architectural and engineering practices in the world. The high-profile joint venture will provide Blue Mountain with the opportunity to consult P&T on all of its high-end projects in order to offer greater value and an enhanced experience to its clients.

Investing in its brand

Blue Mountain has embarked on a branding and integrated communications campaign to strengthen its position as a leader in Sri Lanka’s dynamic real estate industry. Following a competitive pitch process, Leo Burnett was selected as Blue Mountain’s partner and will execute a holistic marketing communications campaign for the brand and its numerous real estate projects across Sri Lanka. Leo Burnett will deploy an integrated campaign comprising advertising, branding, media, digital and PR tactics to effectively strengthen its brand equity.
