]]> Indian space scientists and engineers are geared up to set-up a link with the communication satellite GSAT-6A launched last month. An official from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) told IANS, “Efforts are on to establish the communication link with the satellite.”

A report from Financial Express reads “On Sunday, ISRO admitted that it lost the crucial link with GSAT-6A, two days after it was launched on board the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) from its spaceport in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh, 80 km northeast of Chennai.”

However, the communication teams at the MCF are positive about re-establishing the link during the satellite’s close proximity to them by hovering over India. 

Former ISRO Chairman K. Kasturirangan told IANS “Nothing is common when it comes to space and each glitch is dynamic and contemporary.”  

Previously, ISRO Chairman K. Sivan, said: “We are going through the data meticulously to establish a link with the satellite.” He also assured that the work invested in trying to connect with satellite will not disrupt other ISRO projects in any way.
