The new hospital was unveiled in the presence of HRH Prince Saud Bin Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and Governor of the Eastern Province in the kingdom.

Saudi German Hospitals established the new hospital as part of its strategic expansion plans to strengthen its presence in the Kingdom and across the region.

Saudi German Hospitals is one of the largest private hospital groups by number operating hospitals in the UAE. It is also a major player in the MENA region.

The Saudi healthcare market is predicted to reach $13.6 billion in 2020, according to industry reports. Initiatives rolled out under Saudi Vision 2030 are anticipated to open the healthcare sector for privatisation and create a competitive marketplace. 

Saudi German Hospitals Group, Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, told the media “This newly-opened Saudi German Hospital in Dammam is part of a much bigger project, the Batterjee Medical City. It will include a medical college, housing and specialty hospitals where the highest medical services will be provided. We aim to provide patients with easy access to premium international healthcare close to home, so that they do not need to travel abroad for medical care.”

Saudi German Hospital has awarded deals to International Hospital Construction (IHCC) to build facilities in Dammam. It is reported that IHCC’s contract for the new hospital in Dammam is valued at $90 million.
