Malaysia’s digital insurance provider Tune Projects has appointed Rohit Chandrasekharan Nambiar as its new CEO. Rohit Nambiar previously served as the chief executive at AXA Affin Life Insurance for 24 months. He began his career as an analyst with AXA in India.
He will take over the position from Khoo Ai Lin who stepped down from the role earlier in July this year. His focus is to help the company grow and firm up its digital transformation. It is reported that he will strengthen the company’s reach in the retail consumer space across B2C and B2B2C distribution platforms by leveraging big data.
In this context, Tune Protect chairman Ng Siek Chuan, told the media, “We are proud that Rohit has joined as group CEO of the company and to have him lead our operations across Malaysia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. With his track record of success spanning 17 years in the insurance industry, I am confident Rohit will help scale our business to a new level of growth and success. Rohit brings to the role not only invaluable insights, but a wealth of experience built up over an illustrious career.”
Last month, Tune Protect Group launched the Tune Protect App. The mobile application will provide the company’s customers with a differentiated and seamless experience to self-manage their insurances digitally, anytime, anywhere.
Tune Protect Group said that its net profit for the second quarter increased by 17.6 percent to RM12.6 million from RM10.71 million in the previous year.
