The UK-registered airline of Europe is the fastest-growing airline group between Cardiff and Jersey and it will start operating twice weekly from July

Following its profitable expansion across the UK a year earlier, Wizz Air has announced the launch of its first-ever domestic flight between Cardiff and Jersey, beginning from July. The domestic flights will operate twice a week.

Recently, Wizz Air UK told the media that they have been getting several opportunities in the UK and have some big plans to conquer the low-cost market in the area. The airline also said that with a short flight time and sunny climate, Jersey is an ideal getaway on Wales’ doorstep.

Last year, the airline company revealed that they are opening a base at Wales’ Cardiff airport. This marked Wizz Air’s fourth base in the UK, thereby joining the same club as Gatwick, Luton, and Doncaster Sheffield. At present, the company is showing that they are interested in keeping up this momentum of domestic flights between these two airports.

Owain Jones, Managing Director of Wizz Air UK, told the media, “The Wizz Air UK team is working hard to ensure that summer 2021 is not canceled, by continuing to provide low-fare flights to the destinations that our UK customers love to travel to. After an extremely challenging year, we know that our customers are looking to get away for some sunshine and relaxation. Jersey has it all: uncrowded beaches, natural beauty, and rich history.”

He added that the airline is also looking forward to offering Welsh customers an opportunity to explore Jersey and the Channel Islands. He also mentioned that the passengers will be welcomed onboard on their new and green aircraft that promises to provide excellent onboard service the airline is famous for.
