Dubai International (DXB) is all set to experience an increase in traffic as visitors will pour into the area for the big ticket sporting events like Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
UAE-based long-distance carrier Emirates Airlines has already announced that flight traffic through Dubai will be busy till the end of December 2022.
According to Emirates Airlines, “Dubai will begin to see a surge in inbound traffic beginning on November 19.”
This will include visitors coming to attend the numerous winter events. In addition, there will be other significant events in the UAE as well, such as the Emirates Dubai 7s, which will welcome 5,500 athletes from 32 countries.
Emirates Airlines predicts that outbound traffic will increase in Dubai during the UAE National Day when residents take advantage of the long weekend.
Beginning on December 16, there will be a “seasonal super outbound peak” for the Christmas holidays. In addition, December is traditionally the month that schools take a winter holiday break.
Emirates Airlines recommended that passengers, travelling during the busy period for an entire month, arrive at the airport earlier than they usually would.
“Passengers are advised to take advantage of digital check-in, home and remote check-in options, smart gates, and handy luggage drop services. In addition to arriving at the airport up to three hours before the flight, passengers are advised to take advantage of these options,” Emirates Airlines said.
