Will take help from recruitment specialist GEM Partnership
September 07, 2016: Durham-based Atom Bank, a mobile-only bank, which launched in April this year, is on a recruitment drive to find key people.
Atom, brainchild of Metro Bank founder Anthony Thomson and Mark Mullen, will deliver services using pioneering technology as part of their app. As a testament to efforts so far, Atom was named in the top 10 of leading global FinTech companies in a recent report by KPMG.
As a result of the specialist technology used, including facial and voice recognition as part of customer security and service delivery, Atom Bank aims to attract the best possible talent from across the UK into their developing Digital and Technology Division. Atom Bank will take help from recruitment specialists GEM Partnership, who will assist them in sourcing the talent.
Newcastle based GEM Partnership, recently recognised by the London Stock Exchange in their ‘Companies to Inspire Britain’ 2016 report, has been appointed following a competitive tender process. Having supported other companies like NCFE, Tombola and Performance Horizon to attract some of Europe’s best professionals, GEM Partnership has extensive experience in digital and technical recruitment.
Lee Rankin, Managing Director, GEM Partnership, said: “We’re very much looking forward to supporting Atom Bank’s technology and digital recruitment drive. As an incredibly ambitious business and fantastic employer, we are very excited to be part of their plans. The calibre of candidates we are looking for, allied with the niche nature of the roles, requires a specialist approach with extensive reach. Indeed, we believe that our delivery model is one of the reasons that we were recognised as an inspiring UK company by the London Stock Exchange in their most recent report.
“With Atom Bank, the task at hand is to engage proactively with the best people in the UK marketplace who have a desire to be part of a sector revolution, developing digital technology never used in the financial sector before; this is a challenging and thoroughly exciting brief. To ensure success we will be developing and nurturing a pipeline of talent whilst creating a real brand buzz..”
With roles available in a variety of technical and digital disciplines including Architecture, Development, Technology Management, through GEM, Atom Bank aim to attract the cream of the crop.
Anne-Marie Lister, Head of Organisational Development at Atom Bank said: “Our customers deserve the best. Ensuring we attract the best people will not only help us to change the face of banking, it will ensure an outstanding customer experience. The bar is set high, but we are confident that GEM Partnership will help us to achieve our goal.”
