Bank of America rings in holiday season with new mobile enhancements

These latest enhancements provide customers new, interactive ways to use the app and the ability to further personalize the user experience

Bank of America announced a series of updates to its award-winning mobile banking app and online banking platform to better connect to its customers’ life priorities.

These latest enhancements provide customers new, interactive ways to use the app and the ability to further personalize the user experience, helping them meet their unique goals.

“We continue to deliver new solutions based upon our customers’ life priorities,” said Michelle Moore, head of digital banking at Bank of America. “With 24 million mobile customers and growing, we’re developing interactive ways customers can use the app and personalize it to help simplify their financial lives.”

The latest mobile and online updates include:

  • Bank by Appointment enhancements

As many prioritize finances in the new year, Bank of America is prepared to help its customers keep their goals on track. The Bank by Appointment feature has been updated to enable mobile and online customers to schedule appointments in real-time with notaries, relationship bankers and managers, or specialists for their everyday banking, investment, retirement, home loan and small business needs. The new feature also enables greater personalization as customers can now choose from an expanded selection of investment topics to discuss with a specialist.

  • Express checking account application 

With nearly one-quarter of all accounts opened digitally, Bank of America has introduced a new streamlined process for customers to apply for a checking account securely within the app. The enhanced, single-page design populates customer information into the application, simplifying the process.

  • Redesigned homepage

Bank of America’s online platform, including its Business Advantage and Spanish-language versions, now has a new look for the new year. The redesigned home page provides customers a personalized and engaging experience, with a more modern look and feel, and is optimized to provide easy usage, no matter the device used to access it.

  • New Interactive BankAmeriDeals 

BankAmeriDeals has gone interactive to offer customers fun and engaging ways to earn cash while shopping. Now, BankAmeriDeals coins are collected when users redeem their available BankAmeriDeals, which provide up to 15 percent cash back deals when making purchases at selected retailers with their Bank of America debit and credit cards. By collecting BankAmeriDeals coins users can earn more than $100 extra cash back every year on top of what they already earned with BankAmeriDeals. The new feature will be rolled out to customers through early 2018.

  • Gift Card Mall 

Holiday gifting is made easier this year with Bank of America’s new partnership with Gift Card Mall. Customers can now seamlessly shop the Gift Card Mall, featuring hundreds of leading retailers and restaurants, and send electronic gift cards directly to friends and family via email. Users may also choose when the gift card is delivered and add a personalized message for the recipient.
