The Deloitte Digital Center will craft the stonework to a ‘thriving economy and vibrant innovative society’ in the region

UK multinational Deloitte announced yesterday its plan to invest in setting-up a Deloitte Digital Center (DDC) in Riyadh.

The establishment will be Deloitte’s first digital center in the region, intended to strengthen digital capabilities and encourage tech-driven business landscape across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other parts of the Middle East.

Punit Renjen, CEO, Deloitte Global, said: “Digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and cloud computing are going to change life as we know it.”

Many Saudi nationals and global talent will be able to seek employment opportunities with DDC, according to Business Intelligence Middle East. The company’s significant digital infrastructure investment will grant advantageous economic conditions and innovations for the citizens, he added.

“The Deloitte Middle East Consulting business, supported by investment and resources from the UK and Deloitte North West Europe, will form alliances with the Saudi government and businesses to help ensure alignment to their key strategic objectives,” David Sproul, CEO, Deloitte UK and North West Europe, said, “By bringing together the best of the Deloitte network’s experience globally in digital transformation and change we will support a market that increasingly needs expertise in the delivery of large scale transformation programmes.”

Deloitte in Saudi Arabia is backed by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT). Digital strategies by businesses and the public sector will largely benefit from the Center, after completion.

The development of DDC illustrates that the company’s compelling focus to advance the Kingdom’s Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Programme.
