Paradise Papers reveals the financial paradise of eminent people and organisations

Over 120,000 names of people and companies pertaining to their offshore investments have surfaced

After releasing the Panama Papers, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has yesterday released the Paradise Papers that leaked the information of over 120,000 prominent people and companies pertaining to their offshore investments.

The paper shows people around the globe to have made huge investments outside their countries. Few among the eminent ones are Queen Elizabeth II, Bono – The Irish musician, some members of Trump administration, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan, Queen Noor of Jordon, American singer Madonna, Paul Allen the co-founder of Microsoft, former NATO supreme commander in Europe General Wesley Clark and many more.

Queen Elizabeth II, on an average used £10m from her private money for her offshore investments.

The document has also linked the Russian President Vlamidir’s close conduct with two Russian state institutions which made handsome investments in Facebook and Twitter through Jared Kushner, the US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law.

The Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who campaigned against tax havens, has also been supposedly connected to the Paradise Papers for making offshore investments at the cost of the nation’s paid taxes.  Stephen Bronfman who is Trudeau’s chief fundraiser and senior advisor has been linked with the Prime Minister’s offshore investments.
