The country's busy air cargo routes, strong maritime freight connectivity, robust warehousing network and logistics system are key contributors

A recent analysis published by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Dubai Chamber) shows that the UAE logistics sector is assisting global communities effectively deal with the protracted pandemic. The analysis titled The UAE Logistics Sector – Connectivity and Resilience points out that busy air cargo routes, strong maritime freight connectivity, robust warehousing network and logistics system in the country are key contributors to cope with the current climatic conditions.

The analysis even found that the regional cargo carriers led by Emirates Airline are resilient to early problems caused by the pandemic.

Logistics companies and the industry at large will further strengthen the Middle Eastern economies. This team also allows us to create more synergies in collaborating with our sister companies in the Deutsche Post DHL Group network, including DHL Express and DHL Supply Chain.”

Positively, global logistics leader UPS and the American University of Sharjah (AUM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop initiatives in capacity building and knowledge sharing that will support the future of female AUS students and alumni across sectors. Some of those sectors include supply chain management, ecommerce, customs and global trade.
