The 10th Annual International Finance Awards ceremony took place in Thailand’s Waldorf Astoria on February 3, 2023. The event was chaired by, Dr. Ekapong Rimcharone, Deputy Secretary General, Office of the National Digital Economy and Society Commission, Thailand and Ms. Chandon Phanouvong, Commercial Counsellor – Laos Embassy in Thailand, with With Lao Development Bank being the co-host of the event.
Some of the prominent winners of the International Finance Awards include Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited, Lao Telecommunications Public Company, MTS Capital Co.Ltd, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Regency Assurance, Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, Thai Life Insurance Public Company Limited, Uniqtek Co., Ltd, Etiqa Life and General Assurance Philippines, Oman Sats LLC, Government Pension Fund Company, CIMB Bank, KWI Life Insurance PCL, Kasikorn Leasing, Quantum Metal Malaysia and Thai Life Insurance Public Company Limited.
After winning the ‘Fastest Growing FTTH Internet Service Provider – Laos 2022’ award, Lao Telecommunications Public Company said that they feel proud of getting an award from International Finance and they will try hard to hold this position next year too.
Regency Assurance, a global insurance and financial services company bagged the ‘Best Expat Savings and Investment Provider – Insurance- UK 2022’ award at the extravaganza. The Group Director of the company Mr. Stephen Coughlin said that his company felt honoured that they bagged the award.
“We feel honoured that we are able to win the award, thanks to the International Finance Awards for giving us this opportunity. This award means a lot to the organization, as we have done a lot over the years to make sure that our clients are satisfied with the products that we provide,” Stephen Coughlin said.
MTS Capital Co.Ltd, one of the most innovative currency, index, and metal trading companies in Southeast Asia has bagged the award for the second consecutive year at the ceremony. The company was awarded ‘Most Innovative Brokerage House – Thailand 2022’ for gold trading.
“We are the first and the only gold trading broker that got this award and we feel very honoured by getting it from International Finance for the second constrictive time. Being the most innovative broker, we are trying to come up with new products and services to make sure we can better assist all our clients in Southeast Asia,” the company said.
Meanwhile, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), which is considered one of the oldest and largest banks in terms of assets, bagged two awards at the award ceremony. The company was honoured with the ‘Best Supply Chain Finance – Vietnam 2022’ and the ‘Best Trade Finance Company – Vietnam 2022’.
While speaking to International Finance, Deputy Head of BIDV, Ms. Chau Pham Minh said, “The supply chain financing is very new in Vietnam, every bank is at a very first step, but BIDV wants to take the leading role in the market. For this, we have already built a plan for 2023.”
Huyen Nguyen Thi Thanh further said that the BIDV pledged to remain the first bank in chain financing in Vietnam.
