BTG Pactual launches new retail bank BTG+

Brazilian financial company BTG Pactual is launching its new retail bank BTG+ in collaboration with Feedzai. BTG Pactual is a leading financial company in Brazil. 

The partnership between BTG Pactual and Feedzai even includes Pix monitoring, which is a new instant payment system. This system was introduced last November. Feedzai’s platform essentially monitors real-time transactions through a channel that is designed by  the Central Bank of Brazil.

Rodrigo Cury, Head of BTG+, told the media, “We are excited about this partnership and this new resource to protect and improve our customer experience. We want to become one of the main retail banks in Brazil, and for that reason, we are using advanced technology that allows consumers to buy, trade, and engage with the digital economy in a straightforward and agile way.”

Feedzai is known for its capabilities in AI against fraud. Nuno Pires, SVP, Latam, at Feedzai, told the media, “The partnership with BTG Pactual confirms the global trend of turning giants in the financial sector into digital retail banks highly focused on offering products and an overall experience very much aligned with consumer expectations. Brazil has proved to be a market with a huge growth potential, and Brazilian consumers are “early-adopters” who are quite engaged with new payment trends.”It uses big data, machine learning and AI to manage anti-fraud solutions. 

More recently, BTG Pactual has approved the sale of 27.8 million units comprising a common share and two preferred shares.
