As the global economy remains shaky, businesses in the UAE have started hiring new employees to fill sales responsibilities

According to a recent report from LinkedIn, the industries with the highest need for workers in UAE are sales, technology, sustainability, and human resources.

According to the business and employment-focused social media platform, companies in this part of the world have hired back-end developers, sales agents, environmental managers, and human resources operations professionals.

As the global economy remains shaky, businesses in the UAE have started hiring new employees to fill sales responsibilities.

Additionally, more positions have been available for professionals seeking flexible work schedules, with remote job posts increasing by 27.7% in December 2022 compared to the prior month. The rise is the highest among European, Middle Eastern, and African (EMEA) markets.

Firms have been looking for HR and talent acquisition professionals to entice new talent to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Companies are also looking for advanced talents in the technology industry, including cybersecurity and programming languages.

The increasing demand for tech roles shows the rapid pace of the ongoing digital transformation in the region, in order to realize the Saudi Vision 2030. Four out of the top 10 roles in Saudi Arabia were those in the cybersecurity, data analysis and software development domains. The UAE also saw growth in developer job openings with three out of the top 10 jobs being software development jobs.

A Decline In Hiring
On the whole, hiring in the UAE slowed down due to worries about the state of the world economy.

Businesses in the UAE reported a 10% monthly fall in hiring as of December 2022 following a “significant post-pandemic hiring surge” in November.

According to the most recent S&P Global UAE Purchasing Managers’ Index, the non-oil private economy will experience a “slight loss” of growth momentum by the 2022 end.

According to the report, employment in the UAE increased at the slowest rate in eight months as worries about the future of the global economy grew.

Nevertheless, compared to 2020, overall hiring activity in the month was “significantly higher.”

LinkedIn has developed the list of jobs and skills companies are looking for most of this year based on its most recent statistics.
