December 3, 2014: With an aim to facilitate the payment of government fees, Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qassimi, managing director, Aafaq, launched a first of its kind initiative called Happy Customer.

“The launch of the initiative comes in line with smart government initiative which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai,” said Sheikh Al Qassimi.

“We strive to spread the concept of ‘happy customer’ through various outlets of Aafaq deployed in the Emirates so as to help our clients with ease of repayment, and achieve the objectives of the company to serve the expectations of our customers  This will help us reach out to more and more customers. Also, we will periodically assess the initiative in order to promote and reach out to the goals set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,” he added.

The initiative offers customers access to key government services in less than five minutes and make payments through smart phones. Special care has been taken for the elderly and people with special needs. Plans are on to develop a customer loyalty programme and a system for assessing quality of services while dealing with customer complaints positively.

In addition, Aafaq has launched a new training programme which is taught in various educational institutions

“The Happy customer initiative comes as part of the company’s efforts for continuous compliance with government initiatives, especially with the strategy of the government of Dubai in the shift towards smart government and smart city,” said Dr Mahmoud Abdel Aal, CEO, Aafaq Islamic Finance.

He added that the company intends to offer more financial services in the near future, and add more government services within the smart Aafaq application via smart phones or through the company’s website.
