According to investor Agility, the long-awaited full launch of Abu Dhabi’s Reem Mall will occur during the third quarter of 2023.

Reem Mall had a soft opening, with a few retailers debuting in February 2023. However, Ehab Aziz, the chief financial officer of Agility, was reported as saying he anticipated the entire space to occur “in this quarter or the next” in a transcript of an earnings call for the company that was posted to Dubai Financial Market.

The Reem Mall’s construction was initially mentioned in 2017. Despite the difficulties in this industry, Ehab Aziz predicted that the investment would be profitable. So, even though it might not be our best investment, this one will undoubtedly succeed.

“We can see that many investors are now visiting the UAE. The UAE economy is thriving, and we have high hopes for it,” the official stated.

Reem Mall would house 450 stores and 85 restaurants with 2 million square feet of retail space in addition to Snow Abu Dhabi, a snow resort by Majid Al Futtaim. There will also be a range of family-focused entertainment offerings on the 2.8 million-square-foot site, including Vox Cinemas and Snow Abu Dhabi.

According to earlier Agility earnings calls cited by Zawya, Reem Mall was supposed to open in 2022. Additionally, the business had stated that pre-opening leasing initiatives had been suspended due to the COVID outbreaks.

The shops operating as of now are Timberland, The North Face, Max, Vans as well as Carrefour hypermarket. Some of the fast food restaurants and cafes that are welcoming customers include McDonald’s, Papa Johns, Subway, plus Tim Hortons and Caribou Coffee kiosks. The Reem Mall also has a car park with 6,800 spaces.

The Snow Abu Dhabi features 12 rides and 17 attractions spread across almost 1,000 square metres. It maintains a temperature of -2ºC. The attractions include two giant slides called Ice and Floes Toboggan Race and Grauppel’s Summit Escape.

The rides inside the indoor park include The Entry Plaza, Flight of the Snowy Owl, Magic Carpet, Polar Express Train and the Crystal Carousel. There will also be restaurants inside the park, including The Lodge Restaurant, Ice Cafe and the Grotto Amphitheatre.
