Andy Flores took charge as Chief Executive Officer of the United States-based management consulting firm ScottMadden on January 1, 2026.

Andy succeeds Brad Kitchens, who is retiring after more than 30 years of service and leadership at ScottMadden. Andy is the latest in a long line of leaders who have helped ScottMadden grow and innovate for the benefit of clients.

Andy Flores has been a key part of ScottMadden for 20 years, joining the firm in 2005 and assuming a variety of leadership positions, including most recently as Energy Practice Leader.

Andy is known for his collaborative leadership style and dedication to excellence, and he has led the firm in operational and supply chain transformation, capital project optimisation, and strategic alignment while building long-standing client relationships and being recognised across the firm for his talent development and culture building that supports a culture of trust, inclusion, and innovation.

“Andy is the quintessential ScottMadden leader. He is a values-driven leader with a keen understanding of the business and the proven ability to lead teams through change. Andy is the right person to lead ScottMadden through our next phase of growth,” Brad Kitchens said.

Andy will be responsible for the strategy, growth, and operations of the firm as CEO, as ScottMadden continues its mission of providing exceptional consulting services to clients within an ever-changing business landscape.

“I am humbled to serve as CEO and to carry on the legacy of Brad Kitchens and our leadership team. We have an amazing team and a deep dedication to the success of our clients, and as industries continue to change, particularly in the energy and corporate services sectors, we are ready to help our clients evolve, innovate, and thrive,” Andy Flores said.

ScottMadden also announced two key leadership promotions that will strengthen the firm’s focus on strategic growth and operational excellence: Trey Robinson has been promoted to Finance and Risk Leader, with more than 25 years of consulting experience in business transformation, shared services, and governance; and Marc Miller has been promoted to Energy Practice Leader, with more than two decades of experience in energy strategy, supply chain, and corporate services transformation.

Trey and Marc join the other Practice Leaders, including Jerred Crosby, Corporate & Shared Services Practice Leader, Brad DeMent, Enterprise and Specialised Services Practice Leader, and John O’Neil, Health Care Practice Leader, in supporting the firm’s continued commitment to helping clients navigate complex challenges and pursue new opportunities.

Meet Andy Flores

Andy Flores’s career has been more like a winding path, full of hands-on experience, real-world lessons, and the kind of curiosity that makes you stop and notice how work really happens. Years before he took the CEO seat, he was on the ground, learning what slows teams down, what makes processes fail, and how small, thoughtful changes can make a huge difference.

He grew up asking questions, about how things worked, why systems sometimes break, and how people fit into the bigger picture. That curiosity led him to the University of North Carolina. After graduating, he did not jump into consulting. Instead, he spent time at McMaster-Carr Supply Company, doing everything from sales to regional management to distribution. Those years gave him a front-row seat to the challenges organisations face every day, and they taught him that even the best strategies can flop if the people implementing them aren’t supported.

When he joined ScottMadden in 2005, he brought that same practical, people-first approach. Over the years, he led projects in energy consulting, supply-chain optimisation, and operational improvements. But colleagues do not talk about his technical skills first, they talk about the way he interacts with people. He listens, notices where teams are stuck, and helps find solutions that actually work in practice, not just on paper.

Now, as CEO, Flores is not just thinking about numbers or growth targets. He wants to make sure ScottMadden stays a place where people feel supported and challenged in the right way. For him, leadership is about helping people do their best work.
