Riyadh hosting this year’s largest cybersecurity event

Riyadh has been chosen to host this year’s @Hack conference, which is one of the largest in the cybersecurity sector, according to media reports. This prestigious event is all set to see various companies from all over the world participating in this event that will showcase the latest developments in information and server security, announced Ahmed Abdulkhaliq, central area manager of a company related to security systems.

Abdulkhaliq told the media, “I work in maintenance and operation of the security equipment field, and it’s very important for us to know the new technology regarding cybersecurity because most of our work is related to governmental sectors.” The event is usually hosted in the US and the UK, and the three-day conference keeps a special focus on cybersecurity enthusiasts and companies.

The event will also showcase everything new in the field and will also its visitors with activities like training, lectures and competitions, with the aim of bringing together major cybersecurity companies such as Kaspersky, IBM and Cisco.

Around 80 specialised training courses and workshops will be hosted by global cybersecurity experts, along with various competitions, that has a prize fund of $266,000. Additionally, it also has an interactive space for exchanging technical opinions, networking and building professional relationships.

The business hall has the capacity of displaying services and latest innovation of more than 170 companies including major international companies, local government and private sector organisations, along with the upcoming ones.The event is organised within the activities of the Riyadh Season 2021 by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, in partnership with Blackhat and the General Entertainment Authority.
